Sectors

Where money actually moved, across 737 classified companies. Read down the Today column for the session and across a row for whether a sector has been working for a week, a month or a year — the four together tell you whether today is a turn or a continuation.

NSE’s own sector indices, today, best to worst — an independent check on the medians below, computed by the exchange rather than by us.

Each band runs from the 5th to the 95th percentile of that index’s own published P/E over the stored window, 526 sessions back to 29 July 2024. The tick is its median, the dot is today.
A multiple is not a verdict. An index near the low end of its own range is not therefore cheap, and one near the top is not therefore expensive: earnings move too. This is a description of where a published number sits against its own past, and nothing on this site recommends buying or selling anything.
Colour intensity is on one shared scale clipped at the 90th percentile of absolute move, so a shade means the same thing in every row and one wild sector cannot wash the board out to grey.
Today the median Utilities stock moved +2.71% and the median Metals & Mining stock -1.26%. Every cell is the median member, not the average — a sector carried by one big winner should not look like a sector that is working.
